Bundle of five sticks of Fatwood approx. 8” long tied with a piece of sisal twine. Fatwood is the naturally occurring result of highly flammable resin solidifying in pine wood. This resin impregnated wood will easily take a spark from a ferro rod, is waterproof, works at high altitude and in extreme temperatures. This is the tinder source we recommend and is the same as what we supply with our Scout Firesteels.
